> 24 hourBought this for my 2012 macbook pro that Ive hardly used since I bought it brand new in 2015. Its always been slow with the hdd and 4gb ram memory. First, I popped in this 16gb of ram from timetec which did increase the speed of the machine, but not the start up time or transfer times. So I bought a $90 from Samsung 870 Evo 1 tb ssd and now this machine screams! Start up time feels instant like 10 seconds and transferring files etc is fast, now I have a mint condition macbook pro that is snappy and pleasant to use. I dont need anything newer or better for what I use a laptop for...which is recording music via my scarlett interface of vocals and guitar and then browsing the internet, YouTube, Google Chrome, Amazon prime and Netflix, etc. I do wish I bought a cheaper smaller ssd because I already had a couple external hdds.
