> 24 hourThis thermometer seemed accurate, but it is difficult to read. It would be helpful if the screen was backlit. Also, the button is stiff and can be difficult to push down.

> 24 hourI purchased a couple of them to have on hand. I put them both in the same cup of water and tempted them. Both came back with the same reading. I like how it has a soft tip so you can bite it lightly and not hurt your teeth like some of the other ones.

> 24 hourWhats important is that a thermometer be consistent. If the reading rises, you want to know its you, and not the thermometer giving variable results. I have a high quality, well-tested thermometer but when my wife went into isolation for Covid she took it with her. We had Amazon overnight this one to us, and I had her spend a day comparing the two. This one consistently read half a degree higher than the other one, but who knows which one is right? Half a degree is not important. What matters is that when the reading on one went up, the reading on the other also went up the same amount. Bottom line: this thermometer was as reliable for tracking changes in body temperature as the more expensive fancy one. If one reads 98.4 and the other reads 98.8, which ones accurate? Who knows? Who cares? What you want to know is if it went up, or down, and by how much.

> 24 hour10 seconds feels like an eternity after being used to 1 second(I dont like - find they read inconsistently) and 3 second(my preferred) digital thermometers. Seems to be easy to use, consistent in its results and was inexpensive. One curious thing I discovered is my older father, who has some high frequency hearing loss but still hears well enough that he doesnt need hearing aids to understand or function, cannot hear any of the beeps this thermometer makes. It has a single beep when turning on, and off both. Plus a Measurement Done multi-tone chime when its finished giving a reading. Its more beeping than seems necessary, but at least its a a moderate volume. Probably still loud enough to potentially wake someone else sleeping in the same room. For reference in a quiet house I can hear it down a 15 hallway from another room. But in the same room, the beeps are mostly hidden by a reasonable listening volume TV. It does beeping slightly less, and at a lesser volume than the Vicks thermometer I tend to use - which beeps every time you press any button.

> 24 hourAlthough this thermometer seems to be accurate, it has no beeper alarm, and is difficult to turn on and off because the button is hard to push. I bought this thermometer months ago, but am using it for the first time with a fever lasting for many days. The thermometer keeps switching to Celsius, and I no longer have the directions to tell me how to switch it back to Fahrenheit, so Im very aggravated with it. Plan to purchase a different thermometer.

> 24 hourThis thermometer does read really fast so they are accurate there. Beeps when reading is done. I am not sure about accuracy since that is difficult to determine. But for a cheap digital thermometer, it does the job. The numbers are a little difficult to read, but thats just because Im older and find small numbers hard to read. For the price, its about what I expect. I bought one after my daughter in law bought one each for her, my son, and my granddaughter.
