First, let me say that buying this refurbished was probably the most economical way to go about it. How TI calculators get away with being so expensive and doing so little compared to a much smaller and more feature-rich smartphone, I never will understand (aside from palms in the testing industry getting greased). The calculator itself works well and is easy to understand and use after going through a few video tutorials on YouTube. The battery life is impressive (measured in weeks or months as opposed to hours or days with a smartphone, even with daily use). But value? Come on--over a hundred dollars for something with less power than the smartphone I had a decade ago?

I tutor students in math and physics. I own both TI 84 and TI Nspire, both great calculators. Nspire has small keys and not user friendly when it comes to typing. But it has awesome power. It is a pocket programmable computer. TI 84 is less powerful but very easy to work with. I love it. I’m not a newbie when it comes to using calculators. I have had TI 84 for about 18 months and still love its capabilities and its friendly keys

This is the calculator my son needed to have, did not ship when it was supposed to, but we did eventually get it. Graphing calculators are not for parents!

Simple, attractive, sturdy and holds charge! Used during SAT!

Very well made construction. Easy to read screen. Several modes of calculating. Great for students or business. One draw back is the lack of a comprehensive user guide. It will take some time to fully understand how to use.
