Bad display. Greenish / bluish tint to it. Less contrast. hard to see . I don’t think it is solar . Why make that stripe to make it look like a solar?

Was studying for the teaching ETS PRAXIS math exams .. this model is EXACTLY what they’ve cloned onscreen for the test..so this was mail exactly what I needed; way beyond helpful to hold it in hand and practice learning all the calculator functions needed to get through the test quickly by knowing where they’re located..

This is a very good price (especially for Prime Members) for the TI-30XS, the only model allowed for use during the GED test. Those who take the computer-based test will be able to use an on-screen emulation of the TI-30XS during most of the math test as well as during parts of the Social Studies and Science tests. If your local testing center allows physical calculators into the testing area, this is the only kind they will accept. Its important to get the calculator early on during your test preparation and learn how to use it with ease before attempting the test. There are some things to know that you dont want to be trying to figure out during the test. Practice with the physical calculator will prepare the test taker to use the on-screen emulation, which functions exactly like the real thing. After you pass the GED you then have a useful and powerful calculator for use in your personal life or possibly in some college math classes, if college is in your plans.

It’s THE mandatory calculator for the GED, and on the list for other types of exams where you’re not allowed to use a programmable calculator. I hope it works because how else would I verify it can do roots properly? Travel back in time to the era of slide rules?

The calculator works great. It has all the standard SCI features, plus two fields to manipulate and a memory log to call back solutions from. Definitely recommended.

I am using this with an electronics course. I like that calculations dont disappear once one is completed and another is undertaken. Its very easy to read. Im not in a class and have to figure out how to perform functions on the calculator by myself, but there are YouTube videos for most things that will show you how to use it. Its common enough that there are information out there on it. Should serve you well at the price youre paying for it.
