The unit appears to be well built, installation was straight forward. However, it would be a lot better pulley assembly if there were some way to lubricate the bearing surfaces. A grease fitting would be a great improvement. Ive got a long run of clothesline, with the anchor pulley about 125 feet away, and this pulley complains LOUDLY when in use. In the winter Ive got a couple of small bird feeders on the clothesline, and need to refill them on a daily basis. The pulley squeals as Im bringing the feeders back to refill them or running them back out to about mid-point. Ive found that I need to pull on both sides of the pulley, one hand pulling cable towards the house, the other pulling the cable on the other side of the pulley away from the house. Ive tried applying some penetrating oil to the axle, which doesnt help at all. I debated leaving a rating of 2 or 3, would not buy this item again.

These pulleys are terrific! That clothes line moves as smooth as silk feels! You will need two people to attach them and run the line properly. Make sure the little tightening gadget to pull the line through is placed on the bottom part of the clothesline. Line will need to be adjusted a few times before the correct tauntness is established. Another creative invention that is truly beneficial for those of us who enjoy hanging our laundry out to dry!

This pulley set is made the way things used to be, solid and well designed. There is so little friction on our clothesline now that it practically coasts along. My husband, a maintenance engineer for 40 years, was impressed by the quality of the pulleys, and I enjoy using them every time I hang out clothes.

I am using a pair of these for my clothes line. I struggled with my old setup for months because the line always popped off the track as I was hanging laundry. I tried changing the angle, changing the line, nothing helped until now. Hung a whole load of laundry and it operated very smoothly. The high quality of these and ball bearings solved my problem.

These pulleys were exactly what I needed for my outside clothesline. They were easy to install and seem to be very durable!

Works well, very smooth, easy to mount on right size screw hook. Not sure if the bearings are sealed or not so dont know if it will suffer with the weather.. my guess is that they are sealed bearings that wont let moisture inside.. If doing new closeline setup with pulley on each end, dont forget if you want to hang clothes on both sides of the line loop, you will need spreaders to keep space between lines

Very heavy duty and works better than any clothesline that I have had. Others are not as sturdy as this one.

Had this in the past, moved to new location bought again.

These pulleys are so smooth, I wish I had ordered these for the other side of my line as well, I still might lol .
