Greater than one weekBought this bag to replace a too-big Gregory hiking backpack. I really love the insulated hydration bladder pocket and the included bladder. Easy to use the insulated pocket for something else if I’m using the bag without a bladder. The color is beautiful (I got the rose pink) and the other details - like zippers, buckles, straps, and pockets - on the bag are of good quality. When I’m not using this bag for day hikes or travel, it lives in my car as my emergency pack. I keep emergency essentials in a separate, small case (eg, whistle, hand-crank radio/flashlight, basic first aid kit, multi-tool, headlamp and batteries) and keep a change of clothes, some snacks, and bottled water in the backpack. Easy to swap out items as needed for hiking or whatever. I’ve also used this when out and about with my kid where I need to carry a bunch of stuff. It’s comfortable to wear for long periods of time when fully loaded. This is not an overly large backpack, but it is the perfect size for my uses, real and potential. Overall, well-made, versatile, and handy. And the price is great!

> 3 dayLove this bag! I was looking for a hydration pack that would hold a few hours worth of supplies, snack, first aid kit, poo bags for my dog, water bowl for my dog, my packable jacket, flashlight, whistle...... all the necesssary things to have for a hike that last a couple of hours. This pack has plenty of space for all of that and more. Its light weight too. I did have some issue with the straps chafing under my arms when wearing just a tshirt, but after readjusting the straps (and there are plenty of adjustment points) I was able to make them more comfortable. I do not use the waist strap. I dont find it necessary. I put an ice pack in with the hydration bag and the water stayed cool for several hours. It took me a minute to figure out the bite valve actually has to be pulled upwards to work, but thats actually a nice feature. The cover for the bite valve doesnt stay on, so I had to be careful when taking the bag off an placing it on the ground. I didnt want the valve to touch the ground. Other than that, I really like this bag and Im glad I bought this and didnt spend over $100 on the name brand bag that I had been looking at.

> 3 dayNothing original. They just knock off the camel system. But it works well. Good seal on the bad. Insulated hose. Great cap and protector as well as bite valve. Works perfectly. I use it mountain biking, have had some. Crashes. And it still is working perfectly. Zero complaints. I would buy again if I break it.

> 3 dayI like backpacks. I just love how functional they are. Ive bought a ton of them over the years. This has to be one of the best ones Ive ever had. It reminds me a bit of Swiss Gear which is my favorite backpack brand. It was challenging trying to find something small but still had a lot of storage. But I found it!

> 3 dayLiving in Arizona having water readily available can be crucial to a persons health. I regret not buying this sooner. The quality of the materials are generally good. Well see how durable the shell is. The bladder is easy to clean with a large mouth, which also allows for lots of ice (a must!) Satisfied with its performance so far. Worth the price.

> 3 dayMy most favorite pack I had for many years was stolen 2 years ago and they do not make them like that anymore, bought and returned so many, the maroon Quest fit the bill the best but was not my happy pack so I continued to browse purchase and return. This Sharmouth is most definately a keeper and will replace my Quest for my long day hikes, they look similar in size in pic but trust me the Sharkmouth is smaller and more compact with more storage, insulated water compartment and water tube. I am finally...happy..not too big, bulky or long, plenty of easy to get to storage, clips and extras. I am 5 foot tall, 125lbs and not big chested but if you are trust me there is plenty of space for your girls, and if you are larger in size in other areas these straps are long to accomodate bigger builds, my search is finally over. Cant wait to put this baby to the real test of usage but I have a feeling it will workout between us :)

26-10-2024USEFULNESS: A couple weeks ago I went on a trip to Zion National Park, and I found that the 2.5 liter bladder held more than enough water to sustain my 59 135lb build, through multiple 5-7 hour hikes in the sunny Utah weather. By the end of each day I had roughly 1 liter of water left, already keeping well hydrated before hiking and using the pack. The proper weight distribution also really helped with my back troubles and made hiking with water so much more comfortable. Having hiked many times in the past with multiple water bottles or heavy canteens slung over my shoulder, Im not going back. DESIGN: I wouldnt necessarily call this backpack small, but it is very compact. In practice I found it had more than enough storage room in the insulated and middle pockets for a sandwich and other trail snacks, my DSLR camera with lens attached, a tightly-rolled windbreaker, baseball cap, beanie, wallet, and sunglasses (all of this in addition to a fully filled water bladder). For precaution, I kept all of my sharp tools in the front pocket to avoid puncturing the water bladder, such as knife/multi tool, as well as the rest of my survival essentials i.e. first aid kit, headlamp, compass, firestarter, etc. The front sternum strap has an emergency whistle molded into the buckle that I didnt notice at first, and it is definitely loud enough to get someones attention in an emergency. The shoulder straps are also ambidextrous so you can route the bladder hose through either strap you prefer, the hose clip can also be moved to either side. OVERALL: The design of this pack seemed like a great value for the price compared to many of the others I browsed on here. It has plenty of storage space with 3 zipper compartments and the side pockets are great for an extra water bottle or other incidental items. And, if it means anything at all, the Sharkmouth branding on the pack and bladder itself looks quite nice in my opinion, despite being lesser known I think this pack holds up well on the trail against well known brands like Camelbak.
