> 3 dayA little background on my experiences with studio headphones in general: Ive really struggled to find a good pair over the years that accomplished exactly what I was looking for and gave me a good way to monitor mixes when I dont have access to full studio monitors (which is, most of the time.) Ive tried both closed-backed and open-backed variants of reference headphones and had mixed results with pretty much every one of them. These however, I havent found a single issue with in terms of sound and results. Theyre extremely natural to my ears, and are very crisp and clear. To me, they dont have this huge, binaural-eseque soundstage to them compared to some other open-backed sets Ive tried, but their openness does lend to everything sounding more clear and separate compared to the closed sets Ive used, for sure. And Id venture to say they are the most comfortable variant of open back sets Ive worn as well. Ever since I purchased these Ive noticed subtle mixing choice differences I have made in recent projects that have really elevated how consistent my tracks sound on various devices, in my experience - if I can get something to sound good on these, theyll sound great on everything else I try, and phenomenal on my listening sets of choice! I wouldnt say these offer anything spicy in terms of sound, or lean at all in the fun side of things. But for analytical use? These rock.

> 3 dayI am using a G6 DAC with this and the default sound without any profiles used, etc.. sounds a bit muffled. Voices dont sound like they would in real life ( It helps to record audio from someone you know and play it back to help calibrate ).

> 3 dayI saw many people saying these headphones were great, especially for the price-range. I found them almost painful to listen to: extremely muffled and tinny - the cheap USB headset Ive had for 10 years sounds vastly more clear. I spent days trying to fix these: installing and reinstalling drivers, consulting tech support guides, etc. I talked to someone with a similar problem who said an external DAC had helped, so I bought one. Nothing made these headphones sound better, though. Now Im returning them. I saw a review here when I bought these saying what Im saying now. I should have listened...

Greater than one weekI am really picky when it comes to headphones--I want *exactly* what I had before (even though Im no expert on sound) so its really hard to shop...these are as good or better than the ones I got years ago that cost $350. Very happy with this purchase.
