Works great right out of the box with my PS4. Literally took less than five minutes to get this formatted and working properly with my PS4. If you download any PS4 games to your console (and internal storage) you need this. Your internal hard drive will fill up fast and you won’t have much room for any games. I had three games downloaded before my PS4 told me I couldn’t download the latest update of COD. Bought this hard drive and now I can download updates and games again.

I purchased this item September 2020, return window expired in October, product stopped working in November 2020. It’s a piece of poop, and Amazon tech support was clueless. I suggest that no one purchases this item for it will malfunction fairly quickly. I have not dropped it once or miss treated it in any way. I take great care of my belongings. I hope this helps someone.
