Easy to setup on a Sony Playstation 5. Nothing to worry about with regards to the size. Plus the included heatsink saves me from the hassle of looking for one.

This is a solid NvME for the price. 2TB and over 7000mb transfer rate is great for gaming. I recommend a mechanical HDD as a secondary drive, but this NvME as a main drive.

Got the 530 2tb with Heatsink for my PS5. It fit and seems to work well with the console. Personally don’t really know how test the ssd for performance but I wanted to write this review because of the Amazon pricing for this item.

Having tried a lesser brand, which ultimately didnt work. I found the install (instructions online) easy and it worked first time. No issues and very happy.

FIRST OF ALL--> There is a huge difference between the FireCuda 1tb and FireCuda 520 1 tb drives. The Firecuda 1tb is a MOTORIZED DRIVE. The 520 IS AN NVME SOLID STATE DRIVE AND DOES NOT HAVE A MOTOR and should not be compared to ANY 3.5 or 2.5 inch drive as it is a completely different type of hardware, but the wonderdazed people at Amazon do this all the time and never seem to fix their mistakes. Someone should be shot by firing squad or have the coronavirus injected into them for this. WAKE UP AMAZON! YOUR KILLING YOUR OWN SALES! TRY READING OR VIEWING YOUR OWN WEBSITE ONCE IN A WHILE!!!!

Good price at the time I purchased. Very simple to install and set up. And it more than doubles the base PS5 storage. Highly recommended.

For my preliminary assessment I used an ineo technology enclosure attached through my Thunderstick port on an Asus Republic of Gamers laptop with an i7-6700HQ cpu @ 2.6 GHz running a Win10 Home operating system. I then used CrystalMark software to measure the performance of the original installed 1Tb HDD C drive and the SSD 2 Tb Firecuda mounted in the enclosure. The original HGST 7200rpm drive was pretty darn slow. Sequential read was about 111 Mb/s and sequential write was about 106 Mb/s. Random 4k file reads were 0.7 Mb/s and 0.83 Mb/s for writes. In comparison the Firecuda was 1,026 Mb/s and 999 Mb/s for sequential reads and writes, respectively, and more amazingly the random 4k files reads were 144 Mb/s and the writes were 136Mb/s. Pretty impressive numbers for a drive attached in an enclosure! The firecuda got warm. but not hot during testing. Npw the difficult decision I have is whether to keep the Firecuda for fast backups of data or replace my original HDD with it. Or maybe just get another Firecuda.

Im no expert but this is an incredibly fast SSD. Read and write speeds are some the best in the market and best of all its PS5 compatible
