SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable External SSD - Up to 550MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.1 - SDSSDE60-2T00-G25

A bought this as a boot drive for a MacBook Pro but after some problems SanDisk tech support advised me this was not suitable for use for that and it was returned. There is no mention of this but I now see non of the other SSD drives mention this either. The other option for an external bootable drive is a hard disk but since theyre much slower theyre really only good for backing up a system. This drive works fine for storage but not as a bootable drive.

Its not as portable as users point out. It almost as big as a bar of soap and is slippery.

Ive bought this a few weeks ago and have been using it for the few weeks extensively. It hits 200 mb/s easily through USB copying from another SSD drive or M.2 drive. I was shocked when I opened the box to see how small the unit is. The unit comes with a Type C to Type C cable and an adapter as well. Used it back up 80 gbs of stuff to do a fresh Windows install as well. My old 160 gb WD portable would have taken hours to copy it. This was a matter of minutes. Overall, very impressed and was a great purchase.

Can’t believe how small this is and how much data it can hold

I liked this, but then I can be quite geeky :-) Its fast (really fast), loads of capacity, looks ultra cool and is a hit with me, my Bank manager is less impressed however!!

Muy contento, pequeño, manejable, resistente y transfiere muy rápido.

Rapide, il est pour le moment disponible en capacités plus importante quune clé USB. Par contre pour les grosses capacités, il est encore assez cher. Linconvénient est le câble de connexion, court il est vrai, mais tout de même un peu encombrant. Et à ne pas oublier ! Une connexion direct serait un plus.
