> 3 dayI bought a T5 SSD 1TB to increase storage size on my new Mac mini M1 (base model with 256GB). Ive been using this drive for about two weeks now without any issues. Initially, it took me a while to figure out how to reformat the drive in APFS format, but once that was done it has been working flawlessly. I am using this drive exclusively for Lightroom Classic catalogs. Two thumbs up!

> 3 dayYou buy this not because its particularly cheap, but because its not only the fastest there is on the market, but also its size - just like its predecessors. In these aspects, Samsung continues to deliver, and does it spectacularly.

12-11-2024Got it today. So far no issues. Copied 500 GB of files to it in 22 minutes, USB 3.0 from a mid-2015 15-inch Macbook Pro. Am pleasantly surprised at the speed, fast enough to use as an online drive, opening / saving large files in Photoshop. Didnt reformat the drive and didnt bother with the supplied Samsung software. If any issues surface, Ill amend this review.

> 3 dayWorks great and is super fast at transferring large files. The connectivity light is also a nice feature. I will mainly use it for 4K video/photo storage from my Mac Pro. The only thing I don’t like is the overall durability. It seems very delicate and prone to damage, so I wouldn’t recommend taking it out in the field. However, the SSD is really lightweight and doesn’t run hot, so that makes up for lack of ruggedness. I would definitely recommend getting a protective case for the SSD.
