> 3 dayI have a 2012 Macbook Pro, running macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. My editing software is Final Cut Pro X. I have always used G-Technology, G-Raid Thunder bolt for video editing. After giving the Samsung T7 a try, Ive decided to stick with the G-Raid. The T7 worked against computer causing the fans to go into overdrive. It was slow and overheating. The G-Raid is self cooling, and absorbs all the work rather than my computer. When importing, editing, and exporting 1080p files, a one minute takes about 2 seconds to import, and around 30 seconds to export with the g-raid. Same scenario, the T7 takes around a 1 minute to import, and 3 minutes to export. A 1 minute 4k (compressed to a h.264 codec) file takes around 30 seconds to import, and around 8 minutes to export using the G-Raid. The Samsung T7, forget about it! It took so long and was running so hot, I dumped out of FCP after around 20 minutes. I love my Macbook Pro its fast, however I think these SSD drives are for newer more powerful computers. I would like to close by saying I am not affiliated with G Technology. They do not pay me or compensate me in any way, shape, or form. I have been using their drives since the 90s, and they work extremely well for me. The only other is Lacie, both HDD drives.

> 3 dayTamaño muy portátil, funciona muy rápido y casi no se calienta. Perfectamente compatible con MacOS. El precio de las memorias de estado sólido ha bajado y ahora es accesible a mi presupuesto. Hay más baratas, pero está marca me da confianza de buena calidad.

Greater than one weekSmall, fast, and comes in choice of colors. This drive is at its best when plugged into a USB C thunderbolt port on a Mac. I cannot give you any deep tech analysis but when I moved an 80 gig file from my SSD NVme internal storage on a Macbook pro to this device felt like it was 10 times faster than a traditional SSD 3.0 Ssta drive. They are not the fastest out there but a dedicated Thunderbolt drive gets very hot and will slow down to the same speed as this when they get hot. So save some money, go with this unit with no heat problems.

> 3 dayFast, reliable. No overheating. Originally bought and returned the fingerprint version after it arrived as a new product but with someone already else registered as a password-protected user. Really.
