Greater than one weekIm using this on my PS5 to play PS4 games off of. It works great, speed never flinches even on games optimized for next gen. It feels very well built and looks really nice too, very happy.

> 3 dayI used this external SSD as a storage for PC games. Reading/Writing speeds are good enough to run games off of it instead of on my C drive. I bootcamp into Windows 10 to play PC games so the USB-C connection fit well with my Thunderbolt 3 port.

Greater than one weekUpdated: The problem is caused by power supply. You need to update the sumsung driver to stabilize the connection. This will half the speed for a USB3.0 port(to 200MB/s). ( While I have a 256G portable ssd that could reach 400mb/s with a stable connection)

> 3 dayAfter experiencing random disconnects and sometimes overheated (hot-to-the-touch) drive behavior I am returning mine to Amazon! Ive used Samsung internal storage solutions (SSD, M2 SSD, etc.) for some time now and have always been quite pleased and satisfied with the performance, which affected my decision to buy these drives believing Id get the same type of quality. However, Samsung (in my honest opinion) should chalk up the T7 as a complete failure. I purchased three of these drives and all three of them suffer from random disconnects. Theres something majorly wrong with that kind of behavior with these drives, which seem to all consistently do this.

> 3 dayThis drive is perfect for backing up files. I have owned other SSD drives (T5) like this and have always been satisfied with the reliable performance and portability. Samsung makes excellent products.

> 3 daySince Im on a Mac/Apple ecosystem, it makes more sense to get this version which has no inbuilt thumbprint/security, as that version doesnt work on a Mac. So far the SSD has been fast in transferring data, and I had no issues with the speed. I decided to partition the 2Tb into 2 parts, since that would work best with my current workflow. Alternatively you can just work on that single partition.

Greater than one weekIts really fast specially when connected to USB-C 3.2, I can edit video on the SSD with the same speed as my internal SSD..
