> 3 dayI wasnt sure if I could run high end games off a usb 3.1 [sometimes called 3.2] usb slot. I can run very high end demanding games off this drive. Its not flawless I did get a disc error or 2 when installing massive games but it was easy to fix in steam by verifying integrity. Havent had a single issue with it thus far. I would recommend this when its on sale.

> 3 dayI have several T7 drives now. These are essential computer components. Some of them have permanent jobs while others are floating drives used for different things at different times. They make great boot drives if you need to test various versions of operating systems. I boot my Mac into Windows and my Windows computers into other versions of Windows. The speed is exactly what the manufacturer promises (around 1 GB/sec). You cant do much better than that with USB 3.2. If you spend twice as much you can get a bit more performance but its not worth it in my opinion for an external drive. The T7 drives get warm but not hot to the touch with frequent use.

> 3 dayI have two Samsung T7 Portable SSDs, a 1TB & 4TB. The 4TB blue one is used for music storage backup for my Hifi-Rose 150B Music Streamer/Server. The Red 1TB is used for Roon System Backups. Im not a power user so cant comment on large file transfer speeds, etc. Both of these fit my needs, take up little space, run fairly cool, and seem fast enough for transferring music and data files. Both have performed as advertised, so far. This is my first experience with SSDs, so keeping my fingers crossed.
