It was fine for the first month, then after that it became unusable. This SSD was my boot drive which means it had windows itself stored on it. Due to it failing, it got insanely slow, I mean it took 10 minutes to open the windows search menu if it didn’t crash first. If you have this SSD, there’s a chance it will either be the best investment you’ve ever made, or will be the worst tech product in your home.

This upgrade worked great. Aurora A7, replaced 1TB spindle with Optane in front of it with this M.2 stick. The longest part of the upgrade was cloning the spindle onto the new M.2, which worked great - used the Samsung cloning software.

I used this to upgrade the 256GB ssd that came in my laptop. Obviously theres 4x the storage, but I could actually notice the speed difference. That surprised me. This one is obviously faster than the one that came in my Lenovo Flex 14.

Had a friend replace my old standard harddrive with this and its a major improvement. It runs better now than when it was new.

Excellent value for storage capacity and speed. The best performance results I have attained are - Read 329345mbs - Write 269531mbs. Not as high as Samsung rates this drive but I would buy this again and I highly recommend this drive. Test PC - Asus X570 Tuf Gaming Plus WIFI MOBO, AMD 3700 X CPU, 32GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 RAM, Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Dragon Overclocked Dual-Fan 8GB GDDR6 PCIe 4.0 Graphics Card, Samsnung 980 SSD 500GB - M.2 NVMe Drive, Sabrent M.2 2280 SSD Rocket Heatsink.
