The SAMSUNG 980 SSD 500GB PCIe 3.0x4, NVMe M.2 2280, Internal Solid State Drive is an exceptional choice for anyone looking to upgrade their PCs storage with a high-performance SSD. This drive offers a total of 500GB of storage capacity, with read and write speeds that are significantly faster than traditional hard drives.

Attached it to my Predator Helios 300 to keep and run games off. I do a lot of file moving, so it reduces transfer time pretty good. The storage is also really nice, but all my games have already taken up 2/3rd of the size (but still have like 200 GB left). Would recommend getting a 2TB if you have 100+ games, but if you only keep ~10-20 triple A games and another 10-20 middle-smaller size games along with removing games you dont play consistently, you should be fine.

No mounting screw was included with the SSD. We had to buy it separately.

Using it with windows in an older workstation laptop and its noticeably faster than what it replaced.

This is just my personal experience with this. You can get all the tech stuff from reports found on the net, and other reviews. Ive had the 1TB version of this for a couple years now, and its been excellent, no problems. Id done some research before buying that one and its delivered as advertised. Ive used mine mainly as a game drive, and you can really feel the difference. My load times were reduced by a noticeable amount. Its especially noticeable in multi player games where its speed is wasted as you wait in a lobby or whatever for your other team members to load in. I picked up this second smaller one because it was on sale for a good price. You of course have other options for drives of this nature, but the Samsung 980 is solid, and IMO the best investment for your money.

On the specs it says that The Read speeds are 3500MB/s and the write speeds are 3000MBs What I am guessing is the seller did not count on someone actually testing those speeds and I can say for sure that they dont go past 1600MB/s for either speeds. Thank God I got a good person for customer service but I want everyone to beware that most likely the nand flash was switched and you wont get what you paid for not even close.
