> 3 daySo, I have been using this memory since may 2022 and I have to say that everything has been all right. Of course the most important thing before you buy is trying to review most options you may have, and that’s what I did and went for the most cost effective option.

> 3 dayLike most of us, we need more storage space in our PS5. This hard drive does the trick and it was super easy to install. Very pleased with this purchase.

> 3 dayJust installing it in a new Win 10 Dell Optiplex 3070 SFF tonight, so will revisit as I get time on the drive. BUT, this SSD needs a M.2 Standoff and Screw to install in my machine. I dont know if that is universal but I expect so because otherwise the SSD sits right on top of the motherboard on the screw side (on an angle). There was a screw in my MB but it wasnt obvious until I went to install it that it has to have a standoff and associated screw. I dont mind that it needs the standoff but, geez, at least include one or call it out in the specs. Im lucky enough to have a lifetime of hardware bits so could cobble one up. If youre ordering this drive, search for M.2 Standoff and Screw and get a kit of them for $5-6.

> 3 dayIts a great size for my laptop and I was able to move all my games and apps from the HDD to my C: drive after replacing the little 256gb the laptop came with. Its been fast and reliable so far.

> 3 dayI trust samsung drives more than any other. Ive had solid state media from other brands die after a year. Sabrient rocket Gen 4 died in 8 months. SanDisk drive died after a year. I have 8 samsung drives and my oldest is a boot drive Ive had for 9 years its still fine. I have almost a dozen micro sd cards from Samsung, none have ever given me problems. I have 6 SanDisk micro sd cards. One died after 2 years. Also these drives are crazy fast, and prices have gotten pretty great recently.

> 3 dayUnfortunately did not fit my nephews laptop but I wouldve loved to have something like this for myself. We ultimately ordered the one without a heatsink. Windows made it very difficult to install this due to Bitlocker and other just pathetic, inconvenient standards. Absolutely nothing worked, not the keys, not the restores, not the backups, not the alternative boots. EVEN AFTER WIPING THE HARD DRIVE and putting a fresh OS on it, it refused to boot from anything other than the original hard drive. Eventually I found some work-arounds after an exhausting couple of days attempting absolutely everything I learned during my A+ certification... Works like a charm.

Greater than one weekHighly recommended, but due to this SSDs heatsink, make sure your PC has the clearance to accommodate it, and also to ensure proper airflow. If you can afford it, I recommend the top-of-the-line Samsung 990 Pro version of this with a heatsink. Heard this SSD is strongly recommended for the PS5 & the newest generation of desktop & mini PCs that support PCIe 4.0 NVMe/M.2 2280 format SSDs.

12-11-2024This is perfect if you want more storage, but you also don’t want to pay $300+ for it. Very easy to I stall. Nothing to really complain about. I’m sure it’s not perfect but for the price, it’s a five star product.

> 3 dayI bought a heatsink separately, and this thing is fast, my friend bought a WD Black, and the read/write speeds on this one smoke his. Happy I went with the Samsung all in all, it’s the most storage at the fastest read/write speeds for the money.
