Used an aftermarket program and a usb cable to sata connector and duplicated existing drive onto this one. Then removed old hdd and wiped it and tossed into trash. The new drive installed perfectly and now my old laptop feels like new. Quick booting and no issues.

Pc boots in about 10 seconds, thats crazy. Everythings faster now.

Added to my optiplex 7780. Formatted and started the backup. Speed is fast and acceptable. Cheap price for 2 TB of storage.

This SSD may be a defective one. Ive experienced freezes when booting (no smoking symbol = cant find SSD with OSX 12.1) as well as sudden mouse and keyboard freezes while working in Word, Chrome, etc. Once I am totally sure it is defective, I will resort to backup disks and return. (SSDs that are larger than 1TB tend to be dicey.)

I bought it for my wife, will do for me soon

The SSD replaced my old startup HDD. Now my programs start up super quick. Works perfectly on my 7 year Dell XPS desktop computer. Gave new life to a tired old computer. Maybe Ill keep the old Dell for another year or two.
