Greater than one weekInstalled this unit on my iMac (late 2013, 21.5-inch). Unspeakably faster than the original HDD I had on this Mac. Installation itself takes about 20 minutes which includes removing the display unit and gluing it back on (with thin double-sided tape) when you are done replacing the SSD.

> 3 dayStill way too expensive in this day and age for a slower SSD, also only getting 7.27TB outta the 8 is pretty dickish.

12-11-2024Great addition to my 10 year old Dell Precision. I replaced both the boot drive and added additional storage with 2 Samsung SSDs. It runs like new. It boots in less than 15 seconds compared to ,5 minutes or so previously. Storage is super fast. Easy to install and fits almost perfectly in the 2.5 inch bay but I did have to make a cardboard shim as it is slightly thinner than the old HDD. Zippity doo dah all day long!

Greater than one weekSo I felt compelled to write a review because this is an excellent value when it comes to SSDs. It really is quite fast considering its a SATA ssd. For 89 dollars its a steal... IT woke my Mac Mini up like you could never imagine. I would say if you are looking for value in an SSD, you have absolutely found it.

> 3 dayThe QVO series has a serious failing -- large writes bog down badly. When the write cache gets full, the driver performance TANKS. The screenshot shows trying to write a file around 1.8Gb. As you can see, it was fast for a while, then dropped precipitously. At the point the screenshot was taken, it was showing 710 KB/s (Yes, KILOBYTES per second). It actually went to 0 a few times. If you never do much writing, the drive would probably be OK, but not for anything large. Buyer Beware! Luckily, Amazon return policy is very good.
