Good quality product!

This 500GB 870 EVO SSD was purchased on May 10th, 2021, now on April 24th the drive has failed completely. No files show up on the drive and it is not recognized by Windows Drive management or when attached to my Linux computer. The drive is now completely useless. I thought at $64.99 this was a good purchase that would serve my computer for several years. It worked very well, just not for long. apparently Samsung offers no warranty for this drive. I have had several EVO drives in the past, but this one was a real loser.

Bought to replace old slow and loud 1TB hdd in 2015 HP Pavillion laptop. Tried using Samsung Migration and Magician for cloning drive with no luck. 6hrs of cloning, 99% completion then ran an error, twice. 12 hrs later I defragmented, shrunk partition and ran skndsk /f /r on old hdd. Then used Macrium Reflect to clone with great success. Works great, works fast. Would recommend, just stay away from the Samsung Software.

Cheaper as far as this size for ssd but still way way more expensive than a mechanical which I didnt have space in my new computer for a 3.5 drive. So far it is extremely fast and has been reliable for data and video projects.

I ran out of space on my operating system drive so I was afraid I was doomed to re-setup my whole system. With Samsung, you not only get the hard drive but access to Samsungs downloadable programs that make an upgrade successful. I cloned my existing drive to a 2TB Samsung and was up and running in a few hours.

Great product overall. If you’re going to buy this for a desktop remember to buy the bracket!

Fits perfectly in a 2nd generation ps4 slim. Installed in 5 minutes and firmware installed in 3 minutes. YOU HAVE TO BUY IT

I bought this originally to install in an old iMac computer (but that was useless since the iMac is no longer supported). I will use it for my new Mac Mini external drive ;)
