I upgraded from a standard Hard Drive to this 500GB Samsung SSD. The performance boost was immediate. Not to mention, Samsung makes the move painless with their Data Migration Software. Id recommend this SSD (Or any SSD for that matter) to anyone looking for a quick speed boost for their PC.

I had a very strange problem with this SSD i got the first one and put in SSD enclosure that i buy it brand-new and used an old type-C to USB because the enclosure cable was Type-C to Type-C and my late 2013 iMac 27 does not have Type-C connection. and this old cable it does not support high speed transfer because maximum read & write that i can get is 40 MB/sec. i connect the enclosure to my iMac and i have initialize the SSD and then disk utility opens and i have to erase and format to the mac OS file system and it did work and every thing worked fine. then i order it a high speed type-C to USB from amazon and i changed the old cable with the new one and i tried to erase the SSD and format again and that where the problem i could not get to work it give me error so i was thinking maybe the SSD is faulty. i returned that SSD and i ordered a new one same again. put SSD in enclosure with the high speed cable and plug it to my iMac and its asking me to initialize the SSD and then disk utility to erase and format the SSD to Mac OS file system. and again the problem start disk utility froze at (creating partition map) and nothing happen.

I was sent a “new” product that clearly has been opened before. Might return.

I bought this Samsung SSD 1 Terabyte hard drive as my old Samsung 500Gb was over 5 years old and corrupting files. I had a cloned copy of my C: drive as a backup so I cloned it to the new SSD 1 Terabyte and now I am back up and running smoothly.

I bought this to replace the last Sundisk SSD Ill ever have owned, due to a burned out connector that almost killed my mainboard. Transfer speed peaks at 5MB/s
