The data transfer software that Samsung recommended didnt work the way I wanted, but I was able to use the free version of Macrium to get the job done. I am a little disappointed that the Samsung warranty is only 3 years compared to 5 years for many of the alternative choices.

> 24 hourI used this to replace a slow conventional mechanical HDD of the same capacity on a laptop computer. This made all the difference. I love the speed of SSD. Even though I maxd out the RAM at 8GB, the SSD provides extra performance to make up for the RAM limitation. Laptop boots up faster and response time for installed applications are faster.
