> 3 dayBought 5x 1TB and 2x 2TB of Samsung EVO 870 last April, 2021. To date, 3 of the 1TB and 1 of the 2TB have failed, bad sectors. The others are exhibiting symptoms of early failure. Samsung has been good with replacements so far but I have little confidence in these drives. Avoid like the plague.

> 3 dayGot 2 of these drives. First one went into an older laptop, Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM. Did not want to clone operating system, the Acer version of windows 10 had limits. Did my research and got prepped with a windows media creation usb drive for a clean intall. Popped out the old toshiba hd and popped in the 870 evo. (not to worry about 10mm vs 7mm, the toshiba HD is 7mm and has rubber shock absorption pads to fit the sata port, just install them on new drive) Inserted usb drive, turned on laptop, followed instructions. Helps if you already have a Microsoft account. Very straightforward.

> 3 dayI have a Lenovo IdeaCentre 3i, with an i3-10100 processor, and 16 megs of RAM. I added this Samsung SSD in lieu of the 7200 RPM OEM Drive. From the time I push the button until the computer has fully booted up, is less than 5 seconds. The same with shutdown. Computer is off in 5 seconds. I was amazed. I always leave dozens of browser tabs open on shutdown. After booting up again, and starting my Firefox browser, those 30+ browser tabs pop up nearly instantly, and all are immediate available to view. Previously I would have to wait and wait for the H.D. to load these tabs. They would appear, but not respond to a mouse click until what seemed like way too long to this impatient guy.

> 3 dayI gave the actual product SSD hardware five stars but the software at best is two stars. Dont waste your time with the cloning software. Download a better more flexible free cloning software.
