These need to be used in conjunction with a basking lamp for reptiles since they do not put out much heat. However if you use a basking lamp in the same reflector housing, the heat from the basking lamp will burn out this UVB bulb. I found this out the hard way. So a word of advice, only use this with a dedicated reflector that dissipates heat well or the ballast that is built into the base will burn out immediately.

Weak!!! Bought these for my bearded dragon and they are so weak.

The product itself works great. However I was sent a 5.0 bulb and a 10.0 bulb instead of 2 5.0 bulbs.

It wasn’t a 2 pack and the bulb I did receive was dead

These are always our first choice of bulbs. Weve had good consistency and reliability from them.

I gave the durability a 2 only because if the lamp gets knocked over for whatever reason the bulb is no longer in a working condition. :(
