Reptisun 5.0 Uvb Mini Compact Fluorescent (Pack of 2)

i waited around an hour for the brightness to get a bit higher but never did. do not get this if you have a day gecko. these don’t produce enough light for them at all. my enclosure was 12x12x18 and it was still too dim for it.

So far, so good.... Ive been using the bulbs about a week, so if anything changes, Ill have to edit my review. I recently switched from a standard fluorescent fixture to the exo terra compact top. I had always used and liked the 18 reptisun 5.0 bulbs. These fit perfectly in the exo terra top and this listing was cheaper than buying 2 of the exo terra bulbs. In fact, the 2 bulbs in this listing was cheaper (by a good 10 dollars) than what petco sells ONE of these bulbs for. I like that the bulbs have a spot to write the date on which they were installed, so I know for sure when they need to be changed (and you can sign up for an email reminder for bulb changing too. The website is on the bulb box insert). My lizard was instantly more active and out and about more with her fresh UVB installed. Definitely saving this listing for later in hopes the price remains the same!

Every Christmas I get these for my turtle tanks so I remember to change them. They don’t last forever and you need to keep them fairly fresh.

Been using them for a while now and you know, they work. Havent had any problems.

I need another Reptisun 5.0 Uvb Mini Compact Fluorescent (Pack of 2) bulb.

I know that some products are faulty, and I got a faulty bulb that started sparking and smoking a few hours after using it. I can not blame the seller. These bulbs are a really good price, and work for a really long time (last bulbs I had lasted over a year). Better than spending $25-$30 in a pet store for the same product.

I cant say enough good things about these UVB bulbs! I use them for a Whites Tree Frog and a Leopard Frog and Ive seen so many changes using them. My whites tree frog used to be very sluggish and tired all the time, and he barely ate. Now he jumps around all night and eats like a champ. He also loves to bask in it! Same goes for my leopard frog, he loves this thing! Theres a lot of controversy on whether frogs need UVB but in my opinion and seeing the amazing results I say spend the cash and just buy them! I use mine in a exo terra hood and a fluckers 5.5 clamp lamp. Works amazing in both!
