> 3 dayWe live in South Florida and just had quite a bit of water come into our home after the hurricane - not total flooding, but some windows blew open and rain came inside. I ordered these right away to soak up any dampness. Its been about a month of use now and these are still totally dry, which I dont understand because when I use an electric dehumidifier it does pull moisture out of the air. Ill continue to give them more time and will update if there are any changes. The good news is that there is no chemical smell from these and it might be helping with any musty smells in our old 1958 house.

> 3 dayReally cool how these work over time. Good for really damp places. As the calcium salts absorb water, they ionize into calcium, chloride and h20 in a solution that collects in the bottom of the container. Once the white beads are gone, they are used and you throw it away or recycle it. Very cool idea and works well for super humid places. Im using 7 of 8 actively in my house, as we speak. I have everywhere covered and will update on what area it does the best over time. Im thinking bathrooms and laundry room, but could be surprised. They last longer than youd think. Months not days depending on where they are and the moisture level.

> 3 dayProduct arrived on time. On the day the first one was used I was at work. I received a call from my wife saying that as soon as she opened the product her eyes began watering and were very painful, and that it became difficult to breathe. I cautioned her to dispose of the package immediately, thinking that perhaps the seal over the chem was broken, or had inadvertently been punctured when she opened it. When I arrived home I opened two more and found they had ruptured seals. I am returning the remainder for a refund. I am not condeming the product, only saying that at least three of them were defective. Because of that I will purchase a different brand, one that Ive never had a problem with. I cannot recommend the Puregg brand, but also cannot recommend against it as my purchase may simply have been an anomaly.

> 3 dayThe humidity is always very high where I live, and moisture is a constant problem in many areas of my home. This eight pack of moisture absorbers seemed like it would help me be able to tackle all of the problem areas at once. Overall I felt like these worked about as well as the name brand ones I usually buy. They are unscented and seem to be lasting quite a while so Im pleased. These seem especially useful in small places like my microwave which tends to always be fogged up and in my dryer which traps moisture from the outside vent. I also put one in a bathroom cabinet and it seems to be absorbing very well there. Overall - these work well, but dont expect it to fix serious moisture problems. It will help with a bit of dampness or reducing a smell, but if you something like a leak, you are still going to have moisture.

Greater than one weekI’ve never used this brand but have used like products and they worked like a charm. I hoped buying in bulk would work, but no such luck. I’m into week 3 of having one in a bathroom (that has no exhaust fan and gets musty) and laundry closet. They have maybe 3 tiny drops of water and the beads are hard as a rock. Doesn’t do the job it’s meant to do and have not noticed a change in musty smells either.

13-11-2024I’ve used other comparable products in the same space and had a significant amount of moisture collected after a couple weeks. I have had one of these in each of my closets for a month and they are still bone dry. I wish I hadn’t missed the return window because they seem entirely useless
