The sound quality of this CB is excellent — comes in crystal clear! It’s compact so placement is no big deal. Has many built in features which eliminates having to get addition outside equipment, including built in SWR meter. If you’re sitting on a fence between this and another, don’t —.get it! Highly recommend!

I started using CB radio in the 1960s and used them on the road a lot during the 70s and 80s. I decided to get a new one to use in my wife’s car on road trips. The President Johnson II USA seemed exactly what I was looking for. I especially like the front facing speaker and received signals are heard easily in the car. Signal reports on my transmitted signal are also excellent. I am a ham radio operator and when I checked it out with my test equipment I observed that it was right on frequency, put out exactly the 4 watts as advertised and its modulation is excellent. The factory did a superb job of aligning it. This is a very nice AM only CB radio and I highly recommend it.
