Did not work for me to connect 1/2 inch welded wire hardware cloth. The problem was likely mostly due to the cheap tool that was recommended by Amazon to work with these. I returned these along with the tool.

A significant number of the clips are the wrong shape, rendering them useless unless you take the time to fix them with a pair of pliers before trying to use them. The short leg of the clips are too long so they don’t curl around the cage wire correctly. I would guess almost half the bag was like that on both bags that I purchased, really slowed me up and was frustrating as heck.

Without a doubt the most satisfactory way to make wire cages. Dont make the mistake of not buying the tool. You can use them with needle nose pliers but if you do it that way you are going to have very sore hands by the time the job is done. Make it easy on yourself and buy the tool. It doesnt cost that much.

You can build cages with them. What else is there to say?

These are quality j-hooks. I use them for making cages for my rabbits. They hold well and I have no concerns with my cages falling apart.
