It took us a bit of practice to use these to connect hardware cloth for an aviary. It was especially difficult when needing to go through two or three layers of hardware cloth (necessary because overlap is often needed). But once we mastered the little J-clip tool, it finally became easy! (or, well, easier). They hold really well, once you get it right.

I used this with wire mesh to make a open compost bin. These clips are very simple to install to clamp to wire mesh and they hold up well. I have not seen any signs or corrosion, rust, or weakening of any kind. Package provides a lot of clips too. Good item for a good price.

At the time ~ my sister brought a baby bird home from where she works & her knowing that I’ve raised several baby birds that this one was in the right hands. I purchased a nice size cage, which after bringing it home ~ it needed to be tweeted in afew areas that weren’t together right, so I purchased a bag of C-clips an fixed the areas that weren’t connected right!

Without a doubt the most satisfactory way to make wire cages. Dont make the mistake of not buying the tool. You can use them with needle nose pliers but if you do it that way you are going to have very sore hands by the time the job is done. Make it easy on yourself and buy the tool. It doesnt cost that much.

I had expected a more rounded/easy to close clip. These are a flat piece of metal, slightly curved at one end. We have a house full of plyers, didnt expect to have to buy the plyer shown with this item. Disappointed ...... Not sure if it will work, will have to try one, and see how it goes.
