OWC 2.5-Inch Drive Sled Mount for Apple Mac Pro

30-10-2024It was a cold and stormy night. The rain pelted the windows, hail becoming more and more imminent as lighting cracked across the skies. I laughed maniacally as I removed the side of my beleaguered 2010 Mac Pro, seeing internals that were straining for life, but had yet to attain it. Its power disconnected, ports laid bare, and a gaping hole where the new brain (A Samsung SSD) was soon to be installed. I chuckled as another flash across the sky sent power surging through the neighborhood.

> 3 dayEasy to install and just a little bit pricey, IMO. After installing it makes closing the side panel latch hard. I think the safety latch slot must not be quite right on this adapter. It closes, but with great effort and it makes me think something is wrong.

> 3 dayThis is the best tray for 2.5 drives in a Mac Pro, but consider NVMe SSD for more speed instead.

> 3 dayWorks perfectly. Just what I needed! Oh Lord, the price, though. It seems pretty steep for a tiny aluminum frame.

Greater than one weekToo long for older Mac Pros. Dont try bending it. It breaks. May be able to be cut, but it wouldnt leave much.
