Original Matte Loose Mineral Foundation Broad Specrum SPF 15

I bought the starter pack of the regular Bare Escentuals, which I liked, but the finish was a little too sparkly or shiny for me. I like the matte look of this powder. I can go to the gym after work, and it doesnt run off my face like regular makeup. The only thing I dont really like is the way Amazon or Sephora displays the colors. I would have bought the lighter shade, but it looked like Fairly Light was correct. Just a tiny bit too dark, but its very blendable.

I love bareMinerals, but the Matte is definitely the one to get! Wears well and looks natural all day. Use it with the bareMinerals primer to extend wear and help it go on more smoothly.

I have been using this foundation for years and live it. The only issue I have is that when it gets down to the last little bit, it doesn’t easily come out and it’s nearly impossible to remove the cover to access the rest. It’s also pricey and doesn’t last as long as traditional liquid foundations.

I like the powder since I have fair skin and need to wear sunscreen. Liquid feels awkward. The powder is light and doesnt seem to sweat or get on my clothes. It looks powdery at first but blends well after about 15 minutes.

Bare Minerals gives me the absolute best look for my mature skin (72 years old). I have no issues with this powder-based foundation making wrinkles appear more noticeable. In fact, the foundation seems to diffuse light, making wrinkles less noticeable. Love the SPF feature. Mineral veil gives just the right highlight and shine control.

I love the sheer appearance of this product. People think my skin is flawless.

The product seems to cover many flaws quite well. I still use a liquid base concealer under the eyes, The power in some cases shows the lines on the face. Especially if you apply to much. Nothing works perfectly.

This stuff is the best! I ordered the wrong color because I’m a fool but typically this product is my go-to on top of liquid foundation (I use Clinique or milk makeup for liquid).

I like this product. It is hard to choose between the original Bare Minerals and this Matte, but I think I will stay with the matte for a couple reasons: 1. I love the Matte finish. The Original leaves a bit of shimmer which is fine, but I like the airbrushed look better. 2. Personally, my skin seems smoother, maybe because there is no Bismuth Oxychloride in this formula. What I dont like is that it seems to go on much darker, so when I ordered it in my normal color I was a little disappointed. It also is a smaller amount than the original, and more pricey. Which bites. All that said, I like the feel and look of the product, the coverage is very good, and looks extremely natural.

This is my go-to foundation, and Ive been using bareMinerals for over 10 years. Easy to apply (I use a kabuki brush to apply). Lasts all day for me. My skin is oily, and the MATTE helps control oil very well. It makes my skin feel soft and look flawless. My skin is also acne prone, and this foundation helps cover up scars easily. I do make sure to keep my kabuki brush clean, though. I wash it with soap and warm water every couple of weeks. This foundation is very easy to apply, just sift a bit of powder into the cap and swirl the kabuki brush into the powder and then buff your skin with the brush. I find that the more evenly I buff my skin with the brush and powder, the better it looks and feels.
