Greater than one weekMy friend used this to get rid of a cold sore. I used it to help my cats recover from cat flu. The right dosage for my cats was 1/4 of a tablet crushed and mixed with food. Its tasteless so they dont reject it. Easy peasy. Worth every penny. And I am fascinated by a supplement that works for both people and pets. Hm... very interesting.

14-11-2024I have used other brands for many years. I always protect my lips in the sun but still manage to get cold sores. Once I started using this brand, I have not had one issue even though I am in the sun alot. This brand is so worth it.

> 3 dayThis is my greatest tool in my arsenal whenever I start to get a cold sore. Reduces the severity and duration by like half! The pills are easy to swallow and the price is fair. I love the Now brand and will continue to purchase this product!

16-11-2024I take one of these a day for canker sores (sores inside the mouth) lysine plays many significant roles in the human body. It is crucial for the proper absorption of calcium from the gastrointestinal tract. It also helps in conserving calcium. It facilitates the production of enzymes, hormones and antibodies and assists in the formation of muscle protein. Lysine aids in the synthesis of collagen, an important constituent of bones and connective tissues. Besides this, L-lysine benefits involve stimulating the production of creatinine, which is responsible for converting fatty acids into energy. In the process, the level of cholesterol, especially the harmful LDL cholesterol, reduces in the body. An elevated level of LDL cholesterol is associated with the increased risk of coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis (narrowing of the arteries due to deposition of fats inside the arterial wall).
