Noctua NH-U12S, Premium CPU Cooler with NF-F12 120mm Fan (Brown)

This is a great budget cooler. Good price, great mounting system, and good temps.

Excellent quality, perfect size on my EVGA Z170 classified K with 4 sticks of ram and a GTX 970 with backing plate. plenty of clearance. And is keeping the 6600k at 25C (idle) and 45C to 47C under full game load. A full 8 degrees C under what my 212 is doing on an older 3570k system playing same games. That system idles at 31C and reaches 55C to 58C gaming. Probably not a fair temp comparison due to different chipset variables but Im very happy as the noctua is smaller, quieter and was a lot easier to install and in the future will be a lot easier to service due to its two screw mounting system which can be easily reached. Price was high but the quality was worth it and I am finding silence is golden.

Facilissimo da montare, con tutto loccorrente per farlo e materiali di altissima qualità. In overclock arrivo, sotto stress, a 40 gradi circa di temperatura.

I originally had installed an EVGA CLC240 AIO liquid cooler on my new build but it was loud and I wasnt impressed with the temps, I was also worried about leaking ruining my $1,500 computer. Then I ordered a Noctua u14s, only to find out it wouldnt fit in my case by 2mm! So finally, I ordered this Noctua u12s. Fit perfectly, installation was simple and quick, and the temps Im getting are great. Keep in mind its summer and pretty warm in my room, but I have a nice stable 5.0GHz Adaptive OC on my 8700k @ 1.25v. Idle temps get as low as 25C when not using my computer. When just browsing the internet and watching videos, they stay around 34-35C. When gaming my CPU stays around 68C-70C. And torture tests (100% Load small FFT) bring it up to around 78C-81C. Honestly, its perfect. Just make sure you have good airflow in your case. I have 2x 120s pulling air in from the front, and a 140 exhaust on the top, and a 120 exhaust at the rear.

I may have installed the fan on backwards, but it still keeps my OCd core I5 well under 70c for long gaming sessions. Typically idling mid to low 30s and slowly creeping to its mid 60s but havent exceeded 69 even after several hours in a warm room.

Costruito veramente bene, completo di tutto, si nota subito la qualitá. Pur essendo la prima volta che ne ho installato uno, non ho trovato alcun problema di sorta ed é veramente facile e veloce da installare. Silenziosissimo, installato con laggiunra della seconda ventola in previsione della stagione estiva, si capisce che é fermo solo quando il sistema é spento e si vedono le pale ferme.

I really like this cooler, it keeps my stock 9700k under 58c even under load. It is super quiet and I can barely even hear it at idle. The brown fan does not suit everyone but they do make a black version, I personally like it.
