Noctua NH-U12S chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

What was once the king of the air coolers has sadly fallen to the bottom of the pile. Noctua took the easiest, most well-built installation method and reverted to an old-school method that requires the placement of screws into the backplate (they used to be pre-attached) using plastic c-clips to hold it in place (cheap, easily broken) and Noctua includes two spare c-clips because, it says in the instructions, they can be damaged easily. The previous version of this cooler was practically impossible to install wrong or damage any of the components. So, Noctua kept the same model number, kept the same price, but completely changed the mounting method and materials. It is now one of the most difficult coolers to install because there are a lot of mistakes you can make.

Tbh, I cant dislike this cooler, but I will say I wish I knew more about computers than I did when I put my brothers together. The temps are higher than my taste prefers with an r5 3600, but not horrible. Chiplets, am I right?

Es conocido que los disipadores Noctua son buenos pero caros. Encontré este de segunda mano, vendido por el propio fabricante y me animé a comprarlo.

Quiet, well made, keeps my Intel 9900k cool under heavy use. Comes with all the parts you need to make it fit with Intel or AMD. Glad I didn’t pay more for AIO liquid cooler.

Works perfectly, the fan makes literally no noise unless Im playing a CPU intensive game for an extended period of time. Build quality is great, which you can definitely feel when youre holding it. Wasnt too big and was incredibly easy to install.

Bought a pre-built PC and the 140mm CPU fan would ramp up to screaming level every 2-3 minutes to urgently cool down before slowing down (CPU ay 75 degrees Celsius). This was occurring even while browsing internet pages; worst during gaming.

This quiet and far more functional fan is light-years ahead of the exceedingly loud and ineffective fan supplied with Intel i7-10700 CPU

This thing is so quiet its unbelievable. I didnt even know it was spinning. I cant hear it spinning, not at idle and not under load (due to louder case fans/electronic noise). In fact I couldnt even tell without taking my side panel off and getting in close because of the black color and design. Yet despite its silence, my temps have improved by several degrees at idle and rest. Highly, highly recommend Noctua for anything
