Large but one of the best air-coolers out there. I used mine to replace a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. The Noctua has reduced my CPU temp by several degrees under load (gaming). Colour scheme isnt something Id have choosen, and its a shame you cant get this with black fans. Its very large, so youll want to check that your case can accomodate it. Now if only my case didnt have a window on the side...

Ive always wanted to try a Noctua air cooler, because Ive read so many excellent reviews about their products. I built a basic budget gaming PC with some spare parts and a few new parts as well (its a terrible time to build a new PC right now). I chose an i5-11400 CPU, ASUS ROG Strix B560-A Gaming WiFi, and Crucial Ballistix CL16 (BL2K8G36C16U4B) for my budget build. I did not want to skimp on the CPU cooler, because I could always transfer it to another build in the future. The Noctua NH-D15 does not disappoint. Everything about it is well thought out and packaged wonderfully. Theres even NT-H1 thermal compound included. I had some NT-H2 laying around, so I decided to use that instead (all the better). The CPU temperature does not exceed 60 degrees Celsius on full load running at 4.2GHz - 4.39GHz. A clear winner for me. The cooler is surprisingly quiet for its massive size, and there are two NF-A15 140mm fans included. I actually prefer the creative color scheme of the Athene Noctua (its so fitting). A true Owl of Athena indeed.

Easy to install, comes with everything you need. Be mindful that this is an absolute unit and may not fit your case. In my case the fans were uneven due to the ram slots.

This thing is MASSIVE so double check your case and RAM clearance before purchasing. All the included instructions and Intel & AMD mounting hardware was nice and easy to install thanks to the handy right angle screw driver that is worth the $90 itself. Love it.

Als ich den riesen Amazon-Überkarton in den Händen hielt dachte ich noch typisch Amazon. Als der Karton des Lüfters sich beim Auspacken fast als genauso groß entpuppte wurden meine Augen langsam größer. Angepasst an heutige Paketdienste hat Noctua seinen Karton innen an allen sechs Seiten mit ca. 2 cm dicken Schaumstoffplatten ausgepolstert damit das Produkt wirklich absolut unbeschädigt beim Kunden ankommt. Nach dem Auspacken geht alles sehr schnell wenn man das Mainboard bereits am Tisch liegen hat, d. h. Platte mit den bereits eingedrehten Schraubstiften von unten durch das Mainboard stecken, auf Oberseite Abstandshalter und Montageschienen stecken und mit vier Schrauben anziehen, Wärmeleitpaste auf die CPU und abschließend den Kühlkörper mit zwei Schrauben darauf verschrauben, fertig. Das sollte jeder in drei bis fünf Minuten hinbekommen. Anschließend montiert man wieder die beiden Lüfter, wobei der hintere über den Arbeitsspeichern meistens etwas höher gesetzt werden muss. Da meine Kingston HyperX über Kühlkörper verfügten erhöhte sich damit die Gesamthöhe auf ca. 220mm, was dazu führte das der Gehäusedeckel nicht mehr drauf passte. Also war ich gezwungen den 140mm-Lüfter gegen einen mit 120mm auszutauschen. Zum Glück sind die Befestigungsklammern so ausgelegt dass sich damit problemlos auch kleinere Lüfter zuverlässig befestigen lassen.

Cooler was delivered fast in a well built box. install was easy and simple. could not fit the other fan because of memory or the motherboard usb/ethernet, etc ports but that just means the design of the cooler allows for multiple motherboard designs. fans are quiet and top notch. would buy again and buy from this company as well as I needed this fast: my water based cooling hopes were dashed because of the bulk radiator not liking the case.
