Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown)

Ive owned this fan for over a year now and can tell you if you want an air cooler that performs as well as a watercooler, without the worry of some liquid ruining your system, this cooler is a must own. Then you can educate yourself on the world of Noctua and the absolutely amazing products that they own.

I stopped looking for any other cooler of this type when I found this Noctua with a double fan layout. My Processor idles 28-29C. My Cpu stays chillin under game loads below average- (10900K) note: I used MX3 on these temp references. < Nonetheless, this Noctua Cooler does remarkably well indeed and it is quiet.

Im usually not one to write a review, but in this case, I have to add to the praise about this cooler. Im sitting here writing this as Im running a prime95 test on my FX9590 @ 4.7GHz. AMD OverDrive shows the thermal margin getting no closer than 15 degrees from max. Ambient room temp when the test was started was roughly 21 degrees C. CoreTemp (actual temperature) numbers run right along with OverDrive (degrees from thermal margin) showing a maximum of 55 degrees C on a full load. I may have read somewhere that the low-end temps are unreliable but I show anywhere from 18-25 C at idle. The processor is just as happy as can be and thats only due to this cooler.

This replaced my Ttake Frio Advanced for an i7-4930. This is noticeably quieter and the processor runs about 5 degrees cooler at idle. Its beautifully made and packaged compactly, with the ability to have one or two fans simply by unclipping one. Be careful to check the width of your case as it is very tall.

This beast is easy to fit and and super quality. Brilliant modular packing/boxes within boxes all plain cardboard for better recycling. Comes with AMD and INTEL plus splitters, thermal paste and extender cables and the 2 big 140 mm fans. The fans can be mounted easily at different heights but check your case as it is big. I think you can also use 120 Noctua fans if you hit problems or just fit 1 fan but unlikely to be as efficient in cooling.

Temperature diminuite drasticamente in game, ventole silenziosissime anche al massimo della velocità. Oggi ci sono più di 30 gradi, ma lui non ha fatto una piega.

Ein mächtiger CPU-Kühler der nicht in jedes Gehäuse passt. Habe meinen i5-2500K vom alten Gehäuse (noname) mit Intel Stock Cooler in ein Fractal Define R5 mit diesem Noctua NH-D15 umgezogen. Vorher musste ich den Prime95 Stresstest nach wenigen Minuten abbrechen, weil die CPU Temperatur über 90 Grad erreicht hat, jetzt läuft der Test Stundenlang und die Temperatur erreicht kaum 50 Grad.

The two fans need to be fitted after the heatsink is in place. There was not room to fit the second fan since my standard memory modules would be in the way. However the second fan is not required with the large case that I have,.
