> 3 dayThe small additional cost for this high-quality fan is worth it. Its the quietest fan Ive ever experienced, and it comes with plenty of cables, and mounts quickly and easily. Even though its practically silent, it seems to move more air than its far noisier predecessor. Its not the prettiest fan on the market by any means - the brown and beige will clash with a lot of case interiors - but I plan on replacing all four of my case fans with Noctuas.

> 3 dayThis is an exceptional exhaust fan for the rear or top of a PC. Deadly quiet, moves a lot of air, and it works. Noctua fans are expensive, and a lot of people think theyre ugly (I actually like the colors), but they get the job done better and more efficiently than every other manufacturer.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a fan I had on my H80i self contained water cooling system for my CPU. The fans would sound much like a vacuum when it would start revving up to cool the CPU down. It got to be loud enough to be a real annoyance while gaming or even just at idle.

The NF-S12A marks the third generation of Noctua’s signature S12 series quiet case fans, which have received more than 250 awards and recommendations from the international press. Featuring a further refined blade design with Anti-Stall Knobs that works in tandem with the new AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame, the NF-S12A improves the airflow/noise efficiency of its renowned predecessor by up to 8%. The PWM version sports Noctua’s custom designed NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control via 4-pin fan headers and comes with a Low-Noise-Adaptor to reduce the maximum speed during PWM control from 1200 to 900rpm. Its superb running smoothness, SSO2 bearing and Noctua’s trusted premium quality make it an elite choice for quiet case cooling

Anti-Stall Knobs
The NF-S12A"s Anti-Stall Knobs reduce flow separation phenomena in medium to high impedance situations and thereby increase the fan"s stall margin. This means that the NF-S12A is even more versatile than its renowned predecessor and can achieve better performance on heatsinks and radiators.
