> 3 dayBought an Asus Prime Z270a mobo. Bought a Corsair M500 M.2 drive. The Corsair is a nifty device, but the controller runs awfully hot. At first, I peeled off the copper heatsink label that covers the Corsair, and replaced it with some several tiny copper heatsinks. That helped, but without some airflow, the heat would just linger rather than fully dissipating. Asus makes available 3D printing plans for a tiny fan mount to go over the m.2 slot. I dont have a 3D printer, so I just ordered one from a maker site. Mounted this little fan on it, and whoosh - heat be gone. That its silent is just an added plus.

Reduced motor hub size
