It replaced to older stock fans that had become quite loud with age. the Noctua has a higher static pressure than the two it replaced so only the one was needed. I had already replaced the heat sink fan with the another of the same model a while back and now the firewall is almost as silent as a fanless model. I have been impressed with the quality of the fans I have purchased from Noctua and actually quite like the default color. I will be buying Noctuas in the future for most of my projects.

Reduced motor hub size
