> 3 dayI love the volume of this enclosure. Not only is the floor space well above the minimum, but the space and depth inside is so good for providing your hamster with a deep compacted variety of bedding and herbs. Other Niteangel products fit snug inside, like the chamber hides and tunnel watch boxes. A very large wheel fits well on the side, and the rest can just be packed with all that bedding that hamsters need. Adding sprays and enriching toys on top of all of this makes for the perfect enclosure for a hamster. I was able to put this together myself, it came with a sheet of instructions and supplies. Gloves, paper tape, nails & a tool to install them, acrylic sheets, and a silicone strip to prevent the lid from chipping the top of the enclosure. There was no need to use other supplies because this came with everything you need to build it. It took a while for one person, but it can be done. The enclosures ventilation is also good, it never becomes too hot or too cold inside. You can also hang chew toys from the ventilation slits on the top of the enclosure just fine. If I ever got a second hamster, I would not hesitate to buy a second of this one!

> 3 dayAfter watching Victoria Rachaels hamster videos we prepared a more humane home for our fluffy syrian boy. Her glowing reviews of this product got us very excited for it! I thought for the price that this cage might be too good to be true- and it is. ***First off however, let me say that I TRULY appreciate NiteAngel for making a cage large enough to actually be humane for these sweet creatures! Our hamster seems to truly enjoy the space of this enclosure and my kids and I have so much fun planning and putting together his natural habitats :D *** When the box arrived on our doorstep we were all jumping up and down in excitement - but upon opening the box we realized that the cage is not made from wood, but a laminated type particle board. a thin plexi glass type screen sits in the frame for the clear areas. The instructions were easy enough-my engineering minded 11 year old put it together completely by himself under our supervision and only accidentally put one part upside down. We were worried when we saw that the edges dont create a seal on each side- and TAPE was provided to seal it :( Im glad that the tape was included, but I would have preferred the edges to actually fit together better. I would also LOVE a clear TRAY to be included in the bottom instead of just a sheet of plastic. This would better seal the edges and make it easier to clean I feel like the company has put a lot of thought into this product and I truly appreciate that - plastic bumpers are included for the sides and top where the hatch touches the bottom when it closes - but they fall off extremely easily. When we moved the enclosure from the living room to the kids room where it currently lives- it nearly fell apart :( After setting it all up again in the bedroom we placed the bottom plexi glass type barrier on the bottom and filled with several inches of bedding (recycled paper fluff). **** PROS **** -Large enough for a Teddy Bear Syrian Hamster -Has a barrier at the bottom to keep wetness from rotting it away -Easy lift hatch at the top and air holes at the top to keep well ventilated -Humane for pets -Looks nice in any room -Deep enough for lots of room for burrowing -Well thought out design **** CONS **** -Flimsy construction materials -Not water proof -The only way to clean it is to scoop everything out by hand -Needs to be sealed better at the edges -Door hatch could use a handle TAKEAWAY NiteAngle is the only company I know of that creates humane hamster enclosures. Their designs are well thought out but could be sturdier. A solid wood option would be great :)

> 3 dayThe only problem I have is for the price of this cage the wood should be thicker it seems very flimsy but other than that I love the style and we’ll see how my little mouse does in his new cage it was also really easy to put together

> 3 dayIt’s sturdier than their older style, the box shape. Easier to see the hamsters too & it helps the hamsters be less shy, where as the box cages offer so much privacy they become a little timid. However the hamsters can easily get out of these so make sure not to forget to close it. Also the wheels don’t fit on this cage because the wood is a bit thicker. The box shape hamster cages are nice because you can turn them around to face the all when landlords come over & pretend they are tables, but with this style you can’t do that

> 3 dayThe cage is very easy to assemble, sturdy, big enough, and it has a fantastic and modern design. I can see my dwarf hamster from any angle. It also has good ventilation and I love the way the door opens, really practical. I have bought other products from Niteangel and they are all excellent. I highly recommend this cage and the Niteangel company!!!

> 3 daySo, the best thing about this cage is the size, and thats it. Its cheaply made and held together by rubber bands. The worst part is that you literally have to use tape to seal it so it doesnt leak bedding. Spend over 200 to have to tape it. Come on. The screws on the front didnt match. Better off to wait for a discount on a large fish tank. The fish tank would be heavier, but at least its sturdy and has some resell value. I regret my purchase and dont recommend it.

> 3 dayI love this hamster cage it’s so cute and gives my hamster space to roam. It was a little hard to put together only because of the bands you use instead of screws but other than that it’s fine. sometimes it’s a little hard to clean but i still get it clean. love love love this cage

> 3 dayI ended up buying this because we purchased one at PetSmart that was way too small for the Syrian hamster we adopted there. The wheel they recommended was so small he reached both sides while trying to run. I didnt want to spend the money on such an expensive enclosure but the hamster was displaying signs of stress and we wanted to provide a humane and engaging place for him. I chose this one because of the size, ventilation and slanted lid. It was much larger than expected and the perfect size. My teenage daughter wanted to put it together herself and she said it was relatively easy. After reading other reviews (I always start with the 1-star review), I was worried it would be kind of cheap looking. Not at all!! The wood is particle board but had nicely rounded edges. I love the innovative design. Its easy to clean and with the slant lid design, its easy to reach straight in to interact with Artie. It was a LOT bigger than expected. He is much happier. I did order a 10inch wheel which was too big for him but everything I bought from the brand is very well constructed. It is a problem that I find myself wanting to buy more. Im one toy away from it being too much! The price was a little high but its good quality.

> 3 dayI switched my hamster from a detolf to this large size Niteangel and it’s amazing! I love the view of my hamsters home and I love the height of this cage it fits the perfect amount of bedding without worrying about my hamster escaping(that was the biggest problem with the detolf any opportunity she’d take to escape). The dimensions are perfect for placing things inside without it feeling too packed in. The package came with tools for assembly and even gloves to wear. The only downfall was I did not receive instructions but we were still able to easily assemble it. My hamster definitely enjoys herself more in this enclosure than in the detolf. I also recommend this enclosure over a 75 gallon tank it has more space!
