> 3 dayIt’s too big for my dwarf. It is indeed happy and spends most of his time inside and only comes out after we turn off the lights and go to bed no matter how late it is. It makes us very difficult to see our hamster. :(

> 3 dayOur Syrian loves this hideout! She has never been keen on other hideouts, opting to burrow in bedding far away from them. This one she didn’t hesitate to move right into once she discovered it. She fills the rooms with bedding and sets them up to her preferences. The first room is her lookout, the second her potty chamber, and the third is her nest. Well worth the price, like everything else Niteangel we’ve purchased!

> 3 dayBoth my Syrian and dwarf love their wooden hide out. My Syrian has the large hide and my dwarf the small hide. Perfect for their respective sizes.

> 3 dayWe have a small animal playpen in our living room, and our kids often bring one or the other of our Syrian hamsters out there during the day when theyre awake (never both, of course!). We have several products from NiteAngel, including the sandbox and the large six-room maze house, which are both in the playpen. Theyre both well-built and sturdy but not too expensive. My 14-y.-o. daughter has remarked that she really likes both items, and it takes a lot for her to say she likes something! The hamsters love them. There are other hideys in the playpen available for sleeping, but we always find a hamster sleeping either in a room of the house or the dark area of the sandbox. The house is similar to how hamsters live in the wild, with different areas in a burrow for different functions, so they instinctually like it. What I did was put some food in one room, a tiny hamster potty in another room, and bedding in one room; in one room I rotate toys and chewies in and out, and in one room I put hamster-safe items of various textures for mental stimulation. The last room is for them to move stuff into as they want. If youre worried about the house taking up too much room in the hamsters living area, keep in mind that you can put things on top of it, such as food, toys or another bed. I got the nonslip cork mat covers that are sold to go with it. I read the other day about sealing the boxes with mineral oil, so Im going to try that to keep any urine smells from soaking in. Its so great that you can quietly lift up the lid to check on your hamster or change things without messing up the arrangement. Just be ready for an annoyed look from your buddy b/c they are so cozy in there!

> 3 dayWe love that our hamster has more rooms to make into her food storage, bathroom and sleeping area. Its really easy to clean and it doesnt smell. We do recommend buying the legs for the house to keep it sturdy due to hamsters burrowing and we didnt want it to collapse on her. But otherwise we are happy with our purchase and will he buying more here soon once we upgrade to a getting cage.

> 3 dayLove this house! Great quality, sturdy wood. Came with sand paper to sand down any rough edges, but I havent needed it at all yet as it arrived already smooth & in great shape. My hamster has been borrowing so much more than he used to because of this. Also love that its bottomless, unlike some other multi chamber hides that Ive seen, so that he can use the compartments as a starter to his borrow and burrow even deeper underneath it. Overall very very satisfied with this purchase! Also, if youre worried about it taking up too much space in your enclosure, dont, as its sturdy enough to put many different items on top of it anyways, so it doesnt really take away from your ability to fit a lot of toys :)
