> 3 dayI purchased the scratcher for one of our kitties that had begun to scratch on the furniture. I hoped she would redirect her claws toward the scratcher bowl. It worked! I was really happy about that and pleased when I noticed that she also loved to sleep in the bowl. One problem - her brother thought the bowl looked comfy too. He would chase her out of the bowl and take it over for himself. I bought a second bowl - problem solved. Happy kitties.

> 3 dayFirst off, the double Necoichi bowl does not come in extra large. My cats are15 pounds each and my Ragdoll. Is a long cat. The reviews on the single bowl have been fantastic and it seems most cats love it. I bought the new double bowl thinking both cats wouldn’t have to fight over it. Neither one has tried to even set a foot on it. I have put it in different locations, next to windows, next to furniture. They will not try it out. I thought of picking the cats up and setting them on it, but my experience is doing this doesn’t work, even with beds. They hop right out. I am very disappointed because this was a fairly expensive purchase and it sits in a corner next to our bedroom window as an unused piece of cat furniture. My suggestion for these cat bed companies is to consider larger cats and offer larger pieces of furniture and bedding. It was difficult rating this because they haven’t tried it out. I will say it was easily assembled and seems prey sturdy. Waste of money for me. I am writing an update to give the Necoichi bowl 4 stars After discovering that Simon would go in the bottom level after I added some dry catnip flakes. He has slept in I three times now but prefers sleeping on the floor next to it. My main concern is that it is not large enough for large breed cats like Ragdolls and Maine Coons. He does not like the top level.

> 3 dayBought this for my cat because Im going to be moving into a new apartment and needed something that could act as both a bed and somewhere to scratch. My cats as picky as they come, but he and our other cat absolutely love it! Theyve completely abandoned their other beds (except when ones already in the bowl). I had to order another one so they could both have a bowl.

> 3 dayMy cats love this!! In the past, I’ve bought the lighter color, but the mahogany-color is nice, too. Photo is in the low light of my schoolwork-from-home situation. The older bowl has lasted over a year, and I expect the new one will as well. I set this bowl on my desk and my cats spend hours sleeping next to me as I work. Before placing a bowl near my workstation, my cat would get jealous of the attention I paid to my computer and papers. She used to mess up my papers or try to sit on my computer!! Now she miraculously goes straight to her bowl bed and becomes my beautiful desk ornament. So sweet and calm and content :)

> 3 dayMy kitty is queen size and barely fits in this but she loves it just the same. She naps in it for one periods of time but doesnt scratch on it much because she has other options. It is cat-approved.

> 3 dayOur cats LOVE these beds, and they look great with our mid-century modern decor. We have four cats and purchased one bed. How ridiculous of me. I should have known that the other 47 cat beds in our house would be of no interest to our cats when this one arrived. A day later I ordered a second one. There is peace in our house now. Both beds are in a rotation among the four cats...someone is always sleeping in one. Love this bed!

> 3 dayPurchased this as I prepared for my adopted my cat. At the same time, I bought a plush bed from another retail store. Kitty took to laying in this right away and had zero interested in the other bed, so the bowl gets major points for that. Ive noticed shes finally started doing some scratching on it when she goes to lie down, but Im not sure yet if this can actually replace the need for a scratching post. The cardboard interior seems to be holding up well so far, and its a nice construction. On the downside, for the premium I paid for this product, I figured that the outer rim was a layer of actual wood. Instead its a thin layer of paper - doesnt feel that different than wrapping paper. I dont have high hopes that itll last long term, especially if the cat gets a few scratches outside of the rim. All in all, I feel pretty good about the purchase, but maybe a little misled about the construction of the product. Update: 4/11/18 - Sadly my cat has stopped using the bowl as either a bed or a scratching surface as of a few months ago. Im not certain what triggered the change. Im going to try a cleaning session and see if it brings back her interest. Also, if you ever take the main bowl portion out to clean, be sure you dont push and separate it too much. It didnt take much before I realized this is made of a very dense spiral of cardboard, and getting it to come back together properly was a nightmare!

> 3 dayI was excited to get this and only had it almost a week when my cat puked on it. It was ruined. Its not made of wood so it got wet and the cardboard just fell apart.. an expensive item that had to be tossed in the trash. Very sad and it was not a cheap purchase.
