My Turtles have the shiniest shells... They are blinding!!

It came on time but Cap wasnt screwed on tightly and most of it had leaked out into the bag. It was very messy and Im not happy. Yet to use it because now I feel like I shouldnt trust it.

Not great. My turtles shell just gets dry right after it dries.

I rescued a Mississippi Map Turtle. He was in terrible living conditions with no place to bask. When I got him his shell looked horrible there was algae all over it, and it looked to be needing a good shed. I set him up in a proper tank, but he still did not want to bask since he is very timid. Let alone was a very poor swimmer from growing up in such a small tank. At first I put him in a 110 gallon but he could not reach the basking platform. I decided to put him in a 75gallon long tank, but I had to use gravel and create a ramp into the water so that he could reach the basking area easily. Still was too timid to go up on shore. I went to petco and got some shell saver and everyday I took him out into the yard where the sun would help dry his shell, and I brushed and conditioned his shell. Since then he has become a better swimmer, and he has shed his gross shell which has improved his health and he is way more active and lively.

I dont know how this works for others pets, but for my box turtle it seems to have done the opposite of its intended results. My box turtles shell has become basically waterproof. I applied it once a few weeks ago and water droplets still roll off whenever she bathes. The old product I had used (that is not made anymore) acted like a conditioner making her shell dark and shiny. This product however seems to have made her shell more dry and unable to soak up water externally when bathing. I do not recommend this for box turtles at all. If I had known what it would have done I would Never have put it on her. We scrub her shell gently daily to removed completely asap. I think shell be fine once its removed, lucky for this company.

Its great the turtle shell looks healthier and she looks happier too.

Easy to use. Only need to use a small amount. Can already notice a difference.

This seems like a decent shell lotion but why does it smell so potent? My tortoise does not need to smell like woman’s shampoo. Or anything for that matter. Until this is fragrance free I will not be using this product again.
