Greater than one weekI’m in construction and have to drill holes in metal studs often. Regular hole saws get hot and don’t stay sharp for very long. This saw is just the opposite last forever, and is twice as fast. It’s a beast.

> 3 dayI used my 21mm hole saw to drill 16 holes through 3/4” thick steel plate. Eight were set up and drilled on a Bridgeport mill. Eight were drilled by a cordless drill in the field. I did not notice wear or loss of performance at 16 holes. The pilot bit overheated since it drills faster than the hole saw. For thicker material, I recommend through drilling a pilot hole the same diameter, so the pilot bit can act as a guide and not have to work so hard.

> 3 daySo far I’ve cut 6 2 3/8” holes through 1/4” aluminum. Using a little cutting oil. Works well. I accidentally broke the pilot bit. The pilot bit is 15/64 (6mm) pilot bit, available on Amazon.

> 3 dayUsed it to cut a 3” hole in a 550 gallon stainless steel tank. It cut through it faster than my drill could handle. I will be buying more of these. Just wish they were made in USA

> 3 dayYou get what you pay for with this. It has carbide teeth but expect several to break off if you have more than one hole to drill. 4 holes in 1/4 mild steel and itll be past time for a new one.

> 3 dayNeeded a hole saw to drill through 150 year old very thick plaster to install new can lights in the house were remodeling. Hole saw is heavy and very well put together. Cut right through the plaster and lath under it. Didnt dull at all. Would buy again if I need another one.

Greater than one weekI was originally happy that I found a cheaper hole saw compared to the EZARC brand I bought previously but the picture showed the result after the first use. All the carbide cutting tips that are welded onto the tool broke off from their welding. I was trying to cut through about a 1/8 sheet metal. Sheet metal 1, Mollom Hole Saw 0

06-11-2024So far I have only used the 2 1/8” to cut through 1/8” thick aluminum. It cut well. My only grimace is that one saw was glued tight to the foam below. The paper chart inside was damaged by the saws, my suggestion is that they could make it no blemish by giving a metal chart instead.
