Have to wait to connect the WiFi for several minutes when computer turns on. Within the first month charging cord had to be replaced. Sometimes turn off and take a hard restart to turn back on. Other products are better

I purchased the Microsoft Laptop 3 for work and in only a year I experienced hardware issues. I sent it to Microsoft and they were unable to repair my original laptop and sent me a refurbished one as a replacement. After only a year of using the refurbished laptop, I went to turn it on one day and the screen was completely black. It wouldnt turn on and after some time consulting the tech team at Microsoft it was again a hardware issue. This time though due to my laptop being outside of the warranty they wanted me to pay to fix it. I explained my case and submitted a request for a new laptop and I was still denied. When I received my refurbished laptop replacement I wasnt even offered a warranty. So now Im left with the most expensive paperweight Ive ever purchased and lost several files I hadnt backed up yet since I wasnt expecting a laptop that was only a year old to crash. Needless to say, I will not be paying Microsoft more money to fix a laptop with hardware issues that they refuse to replace. This will now be my third laptop in 2 years. Incredibly disappointed with not only the quality of the device but the quality of service I received. If I could give this review a zero I would.

There are so many things to like about the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3. The fit and finish, the awesome 3:2 touchscreen display, quite fan, snappy performance, etc. It looks and feels like a premium laptop.

I really enjoy the laptop overall but I had purchased a new one so I could have 2 USB ports. The specs on the Amazon page says that it has 2 USB ports. It only has one. I contacted the seller and have given them ample time to correct the page. It still says 2 ports. Hmm! Ill change my rating if they correct their mistake.

My surface’s battery swelled up and I’ve repeatedly tried to get in touch with Microsoft. I loved the surface laptops, but the screen cracks and the battery swelling. Not to mention NON REPAIRABLE. I don’t get why Microsoft would sell customers a expensive laptop without being able to fix a DEFECT IN THE LAPTOP. I was able to get ahold of one dead end at Microsoft’s work around phone line. My laptop WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. There suggestion was to give them nearly 600$ more for the same laptop and THEY STILL TAKE THE OLD ONE! I can not believe the experience I’ve had with this laptop or company. And trying to change me an inflated price twice!

This company did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. What more can you ask from a company. 5 Stars.

This is a beautiful, light laptop. However, after just a week, the light on the screen dimmed itself until the point you could not see or read anything. This continues to happen, no matter what I am doing on the computer. It is incredibly frustrating. And then, the laptop will not turn on: holding the on button, closing the screen, unplugging it, nothing worked. This happens everyday when I try to turn it on. It eventually does turn on. But not after you have had to waste time and energy. I work online so this is unacceptable. I wont repurchase it. I do not recommend it.

After the initial setup, make sure you update it all the way before you turn it off or close it. If you don’t it might lock you out saying your pin is invalid due to a security update. I had to wipe the computer entirely to get back in. After that it’s been working great.

Not too thrilled about the cloth surface around the keyboard. Not sure what they were thinking there - germ trap. I would have selected something different had I realized that it was cloth versus a hard cleanable surface.
