This is an excellent deal to retro fit older style lights and that is what I am doing in our kitchen. I got these style lights because they are dimmable, they are easy to hookup using 3 wires, Black, white and ground and probably the most important for me is the choice of the 5 different color light options they offer. I have to locate these in existing holes already in the ceiling which takes the place of older style can lights. The spring loaded install clips on these Meconard 6 Inch LED Canless Recessed Lights are working perfect for my installation method. Note that it is important that you measure your opening and be sure that the hole does not exceed their dimensions in the description. Their dimensions are exact for these lights. The wiring could not be simpler and be sure that you are able to hook up the ground wire to prevent any kind of flicker. This is the only thing holding me up is I have to run some ground wires to the existing cans. I also love the added option of the night light feature and this is easily turned on or off by the wall switch. After initially turning the light on, just turn it off and within 2 seconds turn the switch on again, this will give you the orange night light. Do the same to put it back in normal mode. Overall this is a great deal and these are really nice lights and offer choice of color options and being dimmable.

The first thing you want to know is that it requires a 105mm hole saw, which is the same as 4 1/8. Its an odd size, and the lip is pretty small so you want to get the correct size. They so far have been nice in the room they were installed in. The installation was very easy, and the fact they included the push connectors and they have 4 spots in them is perfect. 1 spot for the input wire, 1 spot for the wiring of the light, and 2 output connectors to go to the next lights. The temperature switch on the box lets you see the different temps before you put it in. I picked a middle of the road 3k which is perfect for the room. Light is well spread out and defused. This was my biggest concern but they did a good job. When the lights finally fail one day you just pop it out and unscrew it from the power box and put a new one in. These types of lights though typically last a very long time, so I suspect by the time you are replacing them you will get a whole new setup. The box fits through the cut out hole just fine, and I actually just placed them up inbetween the joists rather than screwing them in place. You will need a romex connector as one is not included Lastly, they are packaged very well in their box, and includes the circle cutout in case you arent using a hole saw / to line things up.

I always love these wafer lights. Very easy to install without the worries that comes with installing dome lights with cans. Just cut a 4.13 inch (105mm) hole with a hole saw and it fits snuggly into the hole and held in place with the attached spring clips even when theres obstruction like a wood beam in the way. 5 selectable color schemes was a plus so you can choose how bright your room should be.

When we finished our basement. We installed about 24 slim wafer LEDs manufactured by Eaton. They were expensive, nearly $30 each. They are beefy and very well made. These have many similarities to the high-end Eaton lights, and I am surprisingly pleased. The materials used are sturdy and feel like they will last. The lens feels and looks like glass (some of the budget lights are made of plastic--yuck!). The 5 colors are very similar in temperature to the Eatons as well. These lights have a smaller driver box, but its large enough to hold 2-3 incoming 14-gauge wire bundles. The clips are strong enough to hold the light in place, and when installed it looks great. These are rated for damp conditions, and I installed one in the shower ceiling; well see how well it holds up! I added a dimmer switch to the two I installed in the bathroom. We all know there are mornings when these can be too bright! Overall, I am very satisfied with the cost vs quality. If these last 5 years, I will be overjoyed! The Eaton lights, by comparison, are supposed to last 25 years... I really like these, and I would say they are a good budget light if you are looking for something nice, elegant-looking, and wallet friendly. I love them--5 stars!

These are well made lights. The housing is made of aluminum to better dissipate heat extending the life of the led. The springs also attach to this aluminum housing so you dont have to worry about them breaking off a plastic frame. The junction box is a toolless flip open style with push in electrical connectors. These connectors can be used with solid core wire and make connections overhead or in the attic quick and easy. You can remove a wire by twisting and pulling at the same time. If you have stranded wire you will need to use a lever style connector or traditional wire nuts. Color selection is made with a slider switch on the electrical box so you need to decide what color you want before you mount the boxes and close up the ceiling. I was able to dim using a Lutron Caseta dimmer. You may need to set your low trim so they do not completely shut off on lowest setting. Good lights at a decent price.

These are nice lights. They are easy to install, you just need the right size hold saw. This works with a standard light switch. The nightlight feature is nice (see photo)
