It has an older slower hard drive bus so isnt able to make full use of the speed available, but it is more than twice as fast as the previous 7100 rpm HD.

15-11-2024The old drive and Windows 7 died so I replaced the drive with the A400. One tip for installing Linux on unformatted drive- something in the BIOS does not recognize the SSD when installing from bootable USB stick. So if you see GRUB in rescue mode, press control-alt-delete and this might take you to the traditional bootloader. Or try pressing one of the F8-F12 keys at startup. Anyway, if you successfully install, you will be amazed at how fast your old rust bucket became!
