> 3 dayWith my oldest child starting school, I decided to upgrade an old Asus X551 laptop my wife and I were no longer using. Between upgrading the ram from 4GB to 8GB and replacing the HDD with this SSD, the laptop is very usable for the stuff she uses it for and hopefully she can get a few years of use out of it.

> 3 dayBought to swap out with the HDD in my Mac Mini 2011. The speed of this thing essentially gave my old Mac Mini a new breath of life! Solid build quality and overall would highly recommend for those who mostly use the cloud. For those who like to store things locally, Id recommend getting a bigger size then 120GB though.

05-11-2024Great price for and SSD. They could have put in a few more gigs to be perfect. Mine registered less than 230gb kingston should make this a 250gb drive at the price it would be an amazing deal. Great speed though and no errors finding the drive and installing Windows.

> 3 daySo this was the cheapest SATA 3 SSD at this capacity that was already recommended. Prior to install I resized the partitions to match and then cloned it to this drive. With the mechanical HDD that came installed in the laptop cold boot time was about 30 seconds. It takes about 9 with this drive to give you an idea at the value of swapping the HDD to SDD as the primary/OS disk. This drive is slightly thinner than a standard HDD but if your laptop has mounting rails it wont make a difference. Will likely buy a Kingston to replace the HDD in another laptop as well based on the performance and ease of install. It took about 30 minutes with the cloning process (USB 3.1 based drive station attached with this drive installed) and the actual install.
