Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

As designed this is a great little SSD. Installed Linux in 10 min. Boot time on laptop is less then 10 sec.

The installation was easy, it fits perfectly in the SATA slot for my laptop, and the speed is great, especially if you are using it as a replacement for a HDD. Ive noticed that the clean exterior also makes it a good option for a portable drive if you want to use it with a SATA to USB cord.

Always used Samsungs 860 EVO. I got this one (Kingston ssd) because it was $15 cheaper. Very pleased with its performance.

I have had this thing for about a year now and it works fine, much faster than an hdd, but it is extremely slow for an ssd. I am not getting anywhere near the advertised speeds and it is performing way below expectation according to user benchmark. If you want a cheap ssd this is fine, but I would definitely spend a few more dollars to get a faster one.

love these sdds. kingston is a brand that you can trust, so being discounted i went for it. cheapest and most effective way to increase performance for a pc.

I used this product as a replacement for my HD to speed things up using different versions of Windows Operating Systems. These SSDs can speed things up as much as two and one half times and can put your computer into overdrive ! Also, no need for defragging-ever.

Got this for my desktop I just built as I was using an old laptop hard drive to save money. Given some of the reviews I was somewhat skeptical but figured anything would be better then what I have. Windows 10 installed perfectly fine and I have had no errors or crashes after about 2 weeks so far. Boot time decreased from 10 plus minutes to under a minute to steam up and running and ready to start a game. Glad I purchased this, and even if it does fail in the future as some people have stated it could, Im only down 30 bucks and I keep all important files on an external anyway, so it doesnt worry me.
