Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

My laptop is 10 years old and a new ssd just brought my laptop back to when I first bought it. Everything is quick and responsive. Was honestly considering a new laptop but glad I went with this upgrade. Looking forward to using my laptop for the next 10+ more years.

This is a great, cheap SSD to use as backup storage. I have two of these, both installed as secondary drives. Use one for gaming and the other for large media files like music and movies. Just popped them in, initialized them, mounted them and filled them up. No issues so far. I probably wouldnt use one of these as my primary boot drive, but as extra storage its perfect. Game load times obliterated.

This SSD is horribly slow for an SSD and is suitable only for external storage or to swap into an ancient laptop that still works.

Strongly recommended if your laptop computer has the slot. It made my computer as it is brand new. Still works perfectly.

Works great. Loaded Linux Mint onto it from Live USB. Easy install. Literally plug and play. Just plug in usb before reattaching battery, and it pulls up a Welcome to Mint screen. Couldn’t be easier.

Very fast hard drive for my laptop. Replacing the old hard drive with this one made my computer better than new. Super fast booting, I can multi task and game with no problem. I would recommend.

Upgraded some workplace computers with SSD and additional 16GB RAM. Outstanding performance and speed.
